LEH celebrates another exceptional year as pupils are inspired to embrace the opportunities of tomorrow.
The LEH community came together for this year’s Celebration of the Year, an occasion to recognise the achievements, resilience and contributions of pupils across the school while looking ahead to the exciting possibilities that lie beyond the classroom.
Reflecting this year’s theme, Fearless Futures, the event encouraged pupils to consider how curiosity, creativity and confidence can help them navigate an ever-changing world. It was a fitting celebration of a school community that believes education is about preparing young people not only to succeed academically, but to lead with purpose and embrace new opportunities with courage.
A highlight of the event was welcoming back Lydia Miller (Class of 2016), who returned to LEH as the guest speaker. Since leaving school, Lydia, along with her sister and fellow alumna, Amelia, founded ivee, a platform that helps professionals identify and develop the artificial intelligence skills that will have the greatest impact on their careers.
Drawing on her own experiences, Lydia spoke about the pace of technological change, the opportunities presented by AI, the importance of women in the workforce, and the importance of remaining adaptable throughout life. Her message resonated strongly with pupils, encouraging them to approach the future with confidence, curiosity and a willingness to continue learning long after they leave school.
Her journey from LEH pupil to entrepreneur perfectly reflected the evening’s theme. By combining ambition with innovation, Lydia demonstrated that the future is shaped not simply by technology, but by people who are prepared to think differently, solve problems and seize new opportunities.
Celebration of the Year also recognised the many accomplishments of pupils across academic subjects, sport, music, drama, leadership and service to the school community. Together, these achievements reflect the breadth of opportunities available at LEH and the school’s commitment to nurturing every individual’s talents.
As pupils, staff and families reflected on another remarkable year, the event served as both a celebration of everything that has been accomplished and an inspiring reminder of what lies ahead.
With role models such as Lydia returning to share their experiences, pupils could see that an LEH education extends far beyond the school gates. It equips young people with the confidence to embrace change, the resilience to overcome challenges and the curiosity to shape the world around them.
As one chapter closes and another begins, LEH looks forward to seeing this generation of pupils step into their own fearless futures. Bold beginnings start here.
