We believe Art inspires confidence, creativity, and critical thinking and at LEH we have a dedicated Art suite comprising several light and airy Art studios, multi-media platforms together with Art display places for exhibitions and open studios. Regardless of whether you choose Art or History of Art as an A level subject you can also follow your passion in these areas through many clubs. Art students also run a very popular Art club for our Junior School pupils.

Art at A level

Who should choose Art?

A level students enjoy an increased emphasis on their own personal and independent journey through the A level Art and Design course. We encourage the cultivation of ideas and the generation of multi directional starting points for art, craft and design practice and creative process.

Art and Design has a crucial role to play at the centre of science, technology, engineering and mathematics, fostering creativity and innovation, supporting other subjects, industries and sectors. Art makes a significant contribution to the global economy, helping to shape how we see the world.

You can view examples of our wonderful A level Art pieces in the booklet below.
