Welcome to LEH Junior School, an independent junior school in Hampton, within easy reach of families across south west London, Surrey and Berkshire, a place where curiosity, creativity, and confidence thrive in equal measure. Your daughter’s LEH journey begins here: a Junior School not a preparatory or prep school as we believe that children thrive when exploring subjects, rather than just preparing for 11 Plus examinations. Here there is no examination to interrupt the adventure. Instead, she will move seamlessly through to the Senior School, learning and thriving across our beautiful 24-acre campus, shared by both schools.

Each morning our shared coach network brings girls to school from across Surrey and south west London, from Esher and Thames Ditton, Kingston and Richmond, Ascot and Windsor and everywhere in between.

It is a great privilege to welcome you and your family to LEH Junior School. Childhood is a precious time of discovery, and here we are passionate about providing an education that inspires, challenges and nurtures in equal measure.

Our pupils benefit from a broad and balanced curriculum that places academic excellence at its heart while also encouraging creativity, curiosity and resilience. In September I will be handing over the reigns of Head of LEH Junior School into the very capable hands of Iona Carmody. It is with great sadness that I leave, however Iona brings with her a wealth of experience in teaching and educational leadership as well as energy, innovation and warmth, and I am confident she will build on the fantastic achievements of our wonderful school. Our wonderful Head Girl and Deputy Head girl interviewed our new Head, Iona Carmody on everything from what makes a good junior school, to her favourite school subjects and what type of holidays she enjoys! Iona takes up the role of Head of our Junior School in September 2026.

By continuing to focus on the full curriculum instead of intensive 11+ preparation, children benefit from broader, more meaningful learning that supports stronger academic outcomes beyond a single entrance exam.
