Our outstanding facilities – including a state-of-the-art sports centre, floodlit pitches, boat house, and 25-metre indoor pool – are set within 24 acres of beautiful grounds, providing the perfect environment for training, competition, and enjoyment at every level.

Whether you’re playing socially or pursuing sport at the highest level, there’s something for everyone. Students can choose from a wide variety of activities, from rowing, lacrosse, and netball to fencing, gymnastics, and strength and conditioning. Our core sports – netball, lacrosse, and rowing – are supported by expert coaching and a full calendar of fixtures, tournaments, and training camps.

We’re incredibly proud of our student athletes, who regularly represent England and Great Britain in sports such as gymnastics, swimming, lacrosse, and rowing – a testament to LEH’s commitment to sporting excellence. But just as importantly, we believe in the lifelong benefits of sport for wellbeing, confidence, and teamwork.

A level Physical Education

A Level Physical Education is an exciting and varied course that combines science, psychology, performance and the social impact of sport. It is ideal for students who enjoy sport and want to understand what influences athletic
performance both physically and mentally.

Students will explore how the body responds to exercise, how skills are learned and developed, how psychological factors affect performance, and the role sport plays in modern society. The course offers a balance of academic study and practical application, making it an engaging option for students who enjoy both theory and sport.
Physical Education develops valuable analytical, communication and evaluation skills that are highly regarded by universities and employers.

Rowing at LEH is far more than just a sport – it’s a vibrant, supportive community built on trust, commitment, and true teamwork. With exceptional facilities and expert coaching, our athletes grow in confidence, resilience, and ambition from Year 8 (Lower 4) all the way through to Sixth Form. Along the way, they’ll forge strong friendships, develop a competitive mindset, and experience what it means to be part of a crew where every girl is invested in one another’s success.

Becoming part of the Sixth Form rowing club means joining a community where accountability, encouragement, and camaraderie extend well beyond the water. Our dedicated coaches support each rower’s progress, turning every session into an opportunity to strengthen skills and self-belief in a friendly, motivating setting.

Our U13A team competed in the Ibstock Netball tournament yesterday. They had a great round of matches in the group stage, finishing 2nd overall and taking them through to the semi-final. They played a good match against Harrodian school, sadly losing this match and taking them through to 3/4th play off. This was a tough but well played match against Surbiton High. The team played well but took a loss, finishing 4th overall in the tournament. Well done to the team on a fantastic afternoon of competitive and well played matches 🙌😊🙌 #netball #girlsinsport

It was a fantastic day with inspiring talks from athletes, including Commonwealth Games Gold medallist Jazmin Sawyers. The pupils chose from a variety of sports and activities to participate in as well as selected sport education lectures.

Our @lehschoolofficial U5 GCSE PE pupils travelled to Loughborough University for the Girls Go Gold Conference yesterday. It was a fantastic day with inspiring talks from athletes, including Commonwealth Games Gold medallist Jazmin Sawyers. The pupils chose from a variety of sports and activities to participate in as well as selected sport education lectures.

After a busy start to the year, the team managed to work hard and come together in a short space of time to best prepare for the game. With intense defensive pressure and the attack building connections throughout, the team managed to secure a 22-12 win. This sees them progress to round 2 and positively kick off the season. Well done to the opponent’s player of the match, Amelia V and coach’s player of the match Amelia B 🙌🙌 #netball #girlsinsport 😀
