Success in National D-Day Poster Competition

We are delighted to celebrate the success of our Junior students in this year’s National D-Day Poster Competition, hosted by The Spirit of Normandy Trust. spiritofnormandy.org.uk

Following months of anticipation, we were thrilled to learn that several of our talented artists have been recognised for their creativity, historical understanding and outstanding design skills in this prestigious national competition. The competition encourages young people to engage with the history and legacy of D-Day through thoughtful and imaginative artistic responses.

Congratulations to Hannah R, Coco P, Sofia D and Naya A, who all received Commended awards for their entries. Jiya B and Victoria P were awarded Highly Commended certificates, while Poppy W achieved the impressive distinction of Runner-Up.

An especially heartfelt congratulations goes to Sylvia S, whose exceptional poster was named the overall Winner of the competition – a remarkable achievement and one of which the whole LEH community is immensely proud.

These fantastic results are a testament to the hard work, imagination and dedication shown by all the girls who took part. Their success reflects not only their artistic talent but also the care and thought they invested in exploring an important moment in history.

We would like to thank every student who submitted an entry and extend our sincere appreciation to Mrs Kent-Skorsepova for her support, encouragement and guidance throughout the competition.

Well done to all involved on this wonderful accomplishment.
