A group of entrepreneurial LEH Sixth Formers have been showcasing their creativity and business acumen in this year’s Young Enterprise Scheme. This programme gives students the opportunity to step into the world of business, developing real products, managing finances, and gaining valuable experience beyond the classroom.
Their venture focused on creativity and personal expression, as they designed and sold customisable jewellery. Each piece allows customers to choose their own charms, creating something unique and meaningful.
Throughout the project, they have demonstrated initiative, teamwork, and entrepreneurial spirit. Sixth Form student and Company Director, Lehara shares their journey:
“Young Enterprise has been an incredibly rewarding experience for us as a team of young women running our own jewellery business. We design and sell chains for necklaces and bracelets in both 18k gold-plated and stainless steel, giving our customers high-quality and stylish options. One of the most exciting aspects of our brand is that customers can customise their bracelets with a variety of charms, allowing them to express themselves and create something truly unique.
Through our hard work and creativity, we were proud to win the Marketing Award and become finalists at the Young Enterprise Company of the Year Awards for the Richmond area. We successfully pitched our product to judges and other teams, which helped us develop strong teamwork and communication skills. Selling our products at Eden Walk Market, Portobello Market, and within school allowed us to generate significant revenue and build confidence in real-world business environments. Overall, this experience has taught us valuable lessons about entrepreneurship, collaboration, and resilience that we will carry forward into the future.
