Well done to all who competed.
Cross- Country
The English Schools Cross Country Cup got underway at James Allen Girls’ School (JAGS), with LEH represented across the Junior, Intermediate and Senior girls’ races. All athletes showed great determination and team spirit throughout the afternoon.
The Junior girls were first to race. For several members of the team, this was their first time representing LEH, making the occasion even more special. In a fast and competitive race, the girls rose to the challenge and ran brilliantly. A special congratulations goes to Gracie, who finished 10th overall.
Next up were the Intermediate Girls, with a strong team made up of Upper 4 and Lower 5 athletes. The team raced confidently and worked hard throughout the course, earning some excellent individual results. Congratulations to Esme, who finished in an impressive 3rd place.
The final race of the day saw the Senior Girls take on particularly challenging conditions, with rain and strong winds making for a tough test. Despite the weather, the team ran fantastically and demonstrated great resilience. Congratulations to Iris, who finished 7th, and Holly, who secured a top-ten finish in 9th place. All three teams have successfully qualified for the ESAA Regional Cup round to be held in November, well done to our teams!

Our U12 team began their School Sports Magazine Cup campaign against Putney High. A strong start saw the teams’ trading goals in a competitive opening, before Putney began to pull ahead as we struggled to maintain our connections and accuracy. Although the result didn’t go our way, it was a valuable experience for the team, with plenty of positives and learning to take forward. We are excited to watch this group continue to develop throughout the season. A huge well done to our Most Valued Players, Victoria and Olivia!
Lacrosse
Tri Counties Champions!
The County Lacrosse Tournament proved a hugely successful day for LEH, with both the 1st and 2nd teams going undefeated throughout the competition to be crowned county champions in their respective categories. Across the tournament, the teams showcased the exciting brand of lacrosse they have been developing in training. Players were flying around the pitch, putting their tactical work into practice with confidence and intensity. A number of fluid transitional goals highlighted the teams’ attacking prowess, while determined re-defending and relentless work rate ensured opponents were given very little time and space.
Out 3rd team also delivered an impressive performance, battling hard against a field made up largely of other schools’ 2nd teams. They finished the day in 7th place overall, achieving the second-highest finishing position of any 3rd team at the tournament and demonstrating the depth of talent within the LEH programme. Congratulations to all players on an outstanding set of results and a fantastic representation of the school.
