Music at LEH
LEH’s Music Department buzzes with energy, from our 21 orchestras, ensembles and jazz bands to our six choirs and rock groups and dazzling concerts. Musicians of all levels thrive here. We run a full programme of ABRSM preparation, and through our Friday Live! lunchtime events we give budding performers the opportunity to share their talents with the rest of the school.
Our state-of-the-art facilities include practice rooms, a Steinway Concert Grand piano, and a cutting-edge recording studio. From classical masterpieces to musical theatre hits, LEH’s music scene is vibrant and diverse.
Individual lessons cover a wide range of instruments from flute to guitar, percussion to singing, inspiring every student to find their sound. We are also keen to explore any instrument that a pupil may wish to learn and we currently have girls learning 27 different instruments!
Throughout the year, pupils perform in a wide variety of concerts from polished formal recitals to relaxed informal showcases, all offering the chance to grow in confidence and share their talent. Parents are warmly invited to attend our popular Informal Performance Concerts, which give pupils invaluable solo and group performance experience in a supportive setting.
