From LEH to Mountview: Sienna’s Next Act Begins

Years of dedication, expert guidance and a passion for performance have led Sienna to one of the UK’s leading drama schools.

There are few drama schools in the UK more respected than Mountview, making Sixth Form student Sienna’s recent success an extraordinary achievement. This autumn, she will begin the highly competitive one-year acting programme, taking the next exciting step towards a career in the performing arts.

Sienna’s journey has been years in the making. Since joining LEH in Year 7, she has immersed herself in Speech and Drama, developing her confidence, creativity and performance skills with the guidance of specialist teachers. Alongside this, she has taken singing lessons at LEH, broadening her training and embracing every opportunity to grow as a performer.

Preparing for Mountview’s demanding audition process required dedication, resilience and expert support. Working closely with her LEH Speech and Drama teacher, Sienna carefully selected and refined a programme of contrasting classical and contemporary monologues for her self-tape submission. Following this, she was invited to a live online audition, where she performed her pieces again and demonstrated her ability to respond to professional direction in real time, an essential skill for any aspiring actor.

Her success reflects not only her talent and determination but also the personalised support available to pupils pursuing their passions beyond the classroom.

At LEH, the performing arts play a vital role in school life. Whether through Speech and Drama tuition, music lessons, productions, performances or enrichment opportunities, pupils are encouraged to discover their strengths, develop their confidence and express themselves creatively. Specialist teachers work closely with students to help them realise their ambitions, whether they are performing for enjoyment or preparing for professional auditions.

Mountview’s intensive conservatoire-style programme will see Sienna study Acting, Text & Voice, Movement & Dance, Recorded Media, Creative Practice and Vocational Planning, providing a strong foundation for a career in the industry.

Reflecting on her journey, Sienna is excited to continue developing both her acting and singing, building on the skills and confidence she has developed throughout her time at LEH.

“I have had a strong passion for singing/music for a while now and took singing lessons at LEH from Year 7. I am really looking forward to exploring this further during my course. Hopefully allowing for new experiences to happen in the music and acting industry.” Sienna, Upper 6

We are incredibly proud of everything Sienna has achieved and look forward to following her journey as she embarks on this exciting new chapter. We wish her every success at Mountview and beyond.
