It has been another exciting and successful week for school sport, with impressive performances across athletics and tennis competitions. Our athletes delivered outstanding results at the ESAA Track and Field Cup and the London Schools’ AA Combined Events Championships, while our tennis teams showed determination and resilience in competitive league fixtures against Ada Lovelace School. Well done to all students who represented the school with such enthusiasm, teamwork and commitment.
Athletics Success at Lee Valley
On Friday, both our Inter and Junior Girls athletics teams travelled to Lee Valley for the first round of the ESAA Track and Field Cup. Our Inter Girls’ team were first on the track, where Yasmin got us off to a great start, winning the hurdles. This was followed by strong performances throughout the morning session, with another special mention to Esme, who came 2nd in the 800m. Meanwhile, the Junior Girls were competing in their field events, where we had great performances, especially Annabel who took 2nd place in the shot put and Alice who won the long jump. For the afternoon session of the day, our Junior Girls followed the Inter Girls’ strong start, with 2nd place finishes for Alice in the 100m and Olivia in the 300m and 1st and 3rd places for Alice and Arabella respectively in the 1500m.
Our Inter Girls’ team also enjoyed a good afternoon of field events overall, with Meri and Hollie earning themselves a respectable 3rd place in the Hammer and Discus respectively. Ella jumped her way to 2nd in the triple jump, while Maya and Yasmin took 1st and 2nd in the high jump.
Overall, it was a fantastic day of competition with both teams claiming an impressive 2nd overall. Every single athlete helped accumulate points for their team, and we look forward to seeing them in the A final later in the term. Well done to all athletes.
Great results at the London Schools’ AA Combined Events Championships
On Wednesday, Year 11 pupil, Isla travelled to Watford to represent Middlesex in the London Schools’ AA Combined Events Championships, competing in five events: 100m hurdles, 200m, 800m, long jump and javelin. Isla had a great day of competing and finished 2nd in Middlesex and 4th overall. She put on a great show for the 800m, knocking nearly six seconds off her personal best and leaving the field behind in a very exciting race!
Congratulations Isla on an excellent start to the athletics season.

Fantastic rallies at Ada Lovelace School
Our U12/U13 and U14/U15 tennis teams played against Ada Lovelace School in the Division 2 team 2 league this week. All the players experienced a Singles and Doubles match in their respective age group competitions. There were some fantastic rallies in the games and some tightly contested points.
We had some good individual and doubles success, but sadly lost the matches overall. Well done to all who played.
