This summer, we are excited to launch multi-activity children’s camps for girls and boys in Years 3 – 6. Our exciting programme of activities is designed to keep children active, engaged, and inspired during the holidays. 

What to expect 

Children will enjoy a varied programme including:

Sample Daily Schedule 

Each day is carefully designed to keep children fully engaged, with a dynamic mix of activities that ensures there’s always something new and exciting to enjoy.

8am – 9am Wrap around care including board games and reading time.
9am – 9.15am Drop off
9.15am – 10am Activity Session 1: Hungry hippos – introduce young players to running with the ball, dribbling, passing and tackling.
10am Break and change over
10.10am – 11am Activity Session 2: Turtle Racing Part 1 – a fun, creative, and engaging activity featuring DIY crafts.
11am Break
11.10am – 12pm Activity Session 3: Red Light – Green Light. Fast-paced traffic light game.
12pm – 1pm Lunch
1pm – 2pm Activity Session 4: Turtle Racing Part 2: race your DIY turtles!
2pm – 2.10pm Break and change over
2.10pm – 3pm Activity Session 5: Sports Skills session: Netball, Football, Rounders etc.
3pm – 3.10pm Break and change over
3.10pm – 4pm Activity Session 6: Elephant Ball – an active, indoor/outdoor circle game

Who can attend?

Girls and boys currently in Years 3–6, from LEH and other schools.

What are the times for the day and is there wrap-around care?

Drop off and register: 9am  

Pick up: 4pm 

Extended Day Option: from 8am – 5pm.  

Please note there will not be staff on site pre-8am and children should be collected no later than 5pm.

Do children need to attend the whole week or both weeks?

Nobooking is flexible by day.

What should children bring?

Lunch, snacks, water bottle, weather-appropriate clothing, waterproof jacket, sun cream, sun hat or cap and trainers.

Is the camp suitable for all abilities?

Yesactivities are inclusive and adaptable.

Who runs the camp?

This is an LEH managed and run camp with experienced LEH staff led by Mr Cousins, our Outdoor Education Manager.

Are extended hours available?

Yes, an early drop-off option from 8am to 5pm is available.

What are the costs for the camp?

£50 per day or £40 for LEH parents and staff. Wrap-Around Care Extended day (from 8am until 5pm): £8 extra per day (free for LEH families). 

What is the child-to-Camp staff ratio?

We aim to have one staff member for every ten children during activities, although there may be brief occasions when this changes if a staff member needs to deal with a short-term issue.

Are there discounts for siblings or multiple sessions?

We are unable to offer discounts for siblings or for multiple sessions this summer but hope to explore this possibility for future LEH Camps. 

Can my child be grouped with friends or siblings?

This may be possible, please indicate friends’ or siblings’ names when bookingWe’ll do our best to keep children together, but we can’t guarantee this, as groups are organised after all the places are filled. 

Will there be a nurse or qualified medical staff on site?

First Aid trained staff will be on site at all times during the camp. 

How do you handle allergies or medication requirements?

There will be space on the registration form to indicate medical conditions and any medication prescribed.

What is your emergency, evacuation, or safety protocol?

The school has robust and well tested emergency procedures, and all LEH Active Camp staff will be well practiced in what to do. 

What does a typical daily schedule look like?

Weather permitting we will have two outdoor and one indoor activity sessions in both the morning and afternoon.  Activities will be a mix of active sessions and games as well as arts and crafts.  We have a full suite of indoor activities and wonderful indoor facilities for the week in the event of either inclement or exceedingly hot weather. 

What is the policy on mobile phones?

LEH does not insure against damage or loss of mobile phones and other tech. We strongly recommend that they are left at home. If children do bring them, it is expected that they are kept in a bag and not used for the duration of the camp. 

Do you provide lunch/snacks, or do I need to pack them?

A packed lunch, snacks and a water bottle should be packed and brought with them each day.  There is no option to purchase refreshment options onsite.  The children will have free access to fresh water.  Protein and energy snacks and drinks are not allowed. 

What happens if it rains?

We have a full range of indoor activities, both active and arts and crafts. 

How can I contact my child during the day?

How will I be informed if my child is ill or injured?

You will be called by a member of staff; contact details are collected on the registration form.

Do you share photos of daily activities?

We will regularly update the school social media channels with posts showing photos from the camps. You will have the opportunity to opt out of photography on the booking form.
