It’s been a fantastic and action-packed week of netball, with impressive performances across all age groups. From convincing Sixth Form and U16 victories against St George’s College, to strong teamwork from our U13 A–F squads against Surbiton High, and an outstanding tournament win for our U13As at the Borough competition, our players have shown great skill, determination and team spirit throughout.
LEH v St Georges College
On Wednesday, we took one sixth form team and our U16A team to play two sixth form teams against St Georges College, Weybridge. Both our teams played very well, coming away with two convincing wins. Congratulations to everyone who played and our Most Valued Players: Molly and Maya.
LEH v Surbiton High School
Our U13’s A-F teams played against Surbiton High School who brought along five teams. It was good to look at some new combinations, combining players from each of our teams. All teams played very well, demonstrating good teamwork and skill, winning four out of the five games. Congratulations to everyone that played and our Most Valued Players: Alice, Jemima, Jane, Grace, Anaiah, Sanaz, and Amarya.
U13 Borough Netball Tournament
On Friday, LEH hosted the U13 Borough Netball Tournament. Our U13A and B teams both took part. Our U13As played a round robin against six different schools, showing great defending and attacking skills resulting in being undefeated overall and therefore winning the tournament. Congratulations to Jemima for getting MVP.
Our B team played very well as well, being placed 2nd in their pool, only narrowly losing 5 – 4 to Teddington’s A team. The team was placed joint 3rd overall by the organisers of the competition. Well done to both teams.
