It was cheers all round at Holy Cross School this week for our Year 6 Netball Team!
The excitement was evident from the moment the they arrived – happy faces all round, cheering each other on and focussing on all the skills they had been working on.
Despite the wet afternoon, the pupils showed great sense, keeping themselves as warm and dry as possible. Their consistency across the year group was impressive, with every player taking part in at least four of the five matches. Each of our teams finished either first or second in their group, and every child contributed to the overall success, enjoying the experience of being part of the winning squad.
It was tough competition against The Study, Wimbledon High School, Rowan Preparatory School, Holy Cross School and St. Catherine’s Bramley, but the girls rose to the challenge brilliantly, bringing home yet another cup for LEH Juniors!
This year group has been exceptional is their dedication and focus to their netball. They have been a pleasure to coach and deserve their success. We are very, very proud of them.
