This week in PRE, our Upper 2 pupils, who have been studying Buddhism, enjoyed a special visit from one of our Sixth Form students, who spoke to them about her Buddhist faith.
The visit offered a valuable opportunity for pupils to see their classroom learning brought to life, as they heard first-hand what it means to practise Buddhism in the modern world. Through thoughtful discussion and personal insight, the session helped to reinforce key concepts and deepen understanding.
One pupil reflected, “I learned a lot about the special days that Buddhists celebrate. I found the idea of walking the Middle Path — not focusing too much on the past or the future — really interesting.” (Meghna)
Another shared, “I enjoyed how she delved deeper into the topics we have been learning about and brought her religion to life.” (Prisha)
We are grateful to our Sixth Form student for sharing her experiences so openly, and for helping to make this a meaningful and engaging lesson for our Upper 2 pupils.
