Unfortunately, the weather was against us on the first week back after Half Term with many fixtures being cancelled. We were however able to go ahead with our indoor fixtures for swimming and indoor cricket.
Swimming
On Wednesday we hosted a friendly swimming gala against Wimbledon High School. There was a real buzz in the air as lots of our development and competitive swimmers from Year 8 to Year 11 raced in 100m, 50m and 25m events. Our swimmers gave it their all in every race, some overcoming nerves about competing in their first gala or about racing in a stroke for the first time. It was great to see so many swimmers taking part. A big thank you to the students who helped out poolside (Ekin, Prabhleen, Harriett and Tabby) – we could not have run a successful event without you. Well done to all for competing at your best, representing LEH so brilliantly and producing some fantastic results overall.
Indoor Cricket
A team of our Year 8 and 9 pupils participated in the Borough Indoor Cricket tournament at Twickenham School on Monday. The team won two and lost one, demonstrating a brilliant display of bowling, batting and fielding. This was a great start to the season and we are looking forward to more training with indoor nets starting this term.
