LEHBC enjoyed a hugely successful home event at the Hampton Small Boats Head on Saturday, which this year attracted almost 800 crews racing across two divisions. It was a fantastic showcase of school and club rowing, and an especially proud day for the LEHBC team. Despite the wet and windy conditions, the girls raced with real determination and positivity, demonstrating both the strength built through their winter training and the growing depth across all squads. The team delivered standout wins in the WJ18 1x, the WJ18 2-, WJ17 2x and the WJ16 4+, complemented by a series of strong performances across the J15, J16 and J18 age groups.
A huge thank you must also go to the HHBCA, whose tireless support kept spirits high over at Hurst Park throughout the day. Their hot drinks, bacon sandwiches – and umbrellas(!) – were very much appreciated by supporters, coaches and officials alike. Overall, it was a brilliant day of racing and an excellent haul of results for LEHBC. Congratulations to all the rowers who took part!
