Rowing

Sarnen Camp 2026

For the first time in many years, LEH rowers had the opportunity to go to a training camp in October Half Term! We spent a week in Sarnen, Switzerland, getting some excellent training done at the beautiful lake that the Swiss National Rowing Team train on.

We were treated to some fantastic water and food throughout the week, as well as meeting the Olympic single sculls champion Ollie Zeidler who very kindly posed for a photo with our rowers!

We now turn our attention to a busy few weeks of racing, first of all at Kingston Small Boats Head on Saturday 7th November – good luck to all our crews racing!

Netball

U14 Paris Netball Tour 2026

During the October half-term, 60 Lower 4 and Upper 4 pupils travelled to France to compete in the Elite Netball Paris tournament.

LEH fielded six teams in the U14 age group featuring more than 39 teams. The opening day focused on netball training, with players rotating through a series of skill-development stations and working together within their teams. Alongside their on-court preparation, pupils also enjoyed some time to go shopping in the local shopping precinct.

On day two, LEH faced strong opposition from netball clubs and school teams from across the UK, taking part in the tournament. Both the White and Red teams qualified for the Shield competition, with the Red team progressing to the final and finishing runners-up after a narrow golden-goal defeat. In the Bowl competition, an all-LEH semi-final saw the Pink team secure their place in the final, where they went on to claim a comfortable victory.

Day three offered an opportunity to celebrate the players’ efforts on court with a visit to Disneyland Paris, where pupils enjoyed the rollercoasters and fireworks as well as all players being awarded medals for their efforts in the netball.

Congratulations to all players who represented LEH during an excellent netball tour.

Sisters n Sport Cup Competition

The Senior First Team travelled the short drive to Reeds School on Monday to play their next round of the Sisters n Sport Cup competition. Coming off the back of the half term break the team were keen to start strong and put out a solid performance. The first team matched up against Reeds very well and it was a close game from the first whistle. With plenty of turnover in defence the team worked hard throughout the game to adjust and execute in attack. Within the last quarter, the game went within one goal between both teams, LEH did well to keep composed in a loud atmosphere and secure a three-goal win, 28-25. Well done to the team who progress to the next round and to the players of the match, Charlie and Amelia V.

U14C v Christ’s School and Orleans Park School

Well done to the U14C team who took part in a triangular fixture against Christ’s School and Orleans Park School on Tuesday. The team took a few minutes to settle and find their combination connections after the break, but they did well to secure the first win against Christ’s School. Having the first win under their belt, they started strong against Orleans Park and continued this throughout the game, taking a convincing win. It was great to see a full team performance and see a strong start to this half term of netball. Well done to the opponent’s player of the match Serena and coach’s player of the match Grace.

LEH v St Paul’s Girls School

On Wednesday our netball teams travelled to St Paul’s Girls School for friendly fixtures. Both teams performed very well in their matches, with some pupils playing out of position and performing very well. The matches were close and well played, despite narrow losses overall. Well done to both teams on some competitive play and to players of the match, Charlie, Emily and Amy.

U13 Netball Tournament, Orleans Park

The U13C netball team enjoyed a fantastic afternoon in a triangular fixture against Teddington and Orleans Park, winning both matches. They started strongly with a 10–1 victory, thanks to excellent shooting from Jiya and Hannah and some brilliant interceptions from Ava in defence. The second match was a closely contested battle, but superb teamwork secured a 3–1 win. Well done to all players, with special congratulations to Vivian and Hannah, who were named Players of the Match!

Lacrosse

Lacrosse 1st Team Shows Character in LEH Undaunted Series Victory

The 1st Team produced a memorable performance under the floodlights at Esher Rugby Club, in their fixture against Putney, they won after a dramatic golden goal during the overtime period.

The atmosphere throughout the evening was fantastic with supporters making plenty of noise and creating a memorable occasion under the lights.

It was a brilliant advertisement for school lacrosse and a performance that reflected the character and spirit of the team. Congratulations to all involved on a well-deserved win.

A big thank you to Mr Lalor, Miss Tuohy and all involved in creating this exciting opportunity.

U15 Tri County

Our U15A lacrosse team travelled to Benenden to compete at their Tri-County tournament. It was a great day of lacrosse at both ends of the field, with improvements being made game after game. Following the round robin group stage of the day, it went down to goal difference where the team sadly narrowly missed out on the semi-final. For their placement, they played a great game against Wally Hall, with a strong win, finishing a respectable 5th place. Well done to everyone who played.

Save the date!
