On Thursday 9th March, students took part in the Intermediate Maths Challenge follow-on rounds named the ‘Grey Kangaroo’ and ‘Pink Kangaroo’. Our Year 7 and Year 8 students were entered into the ‘Grey Kangaroo’, while Year 10 and Year 11 pupils competed in the ‘Pink Kangaroo’ round.
Eleven of our students achieved Gold, Silver and Bronze across both competitions with five achieving Gold – a fantastic result!
Maths at LEH
At LEH, our mathematicians tackle complex problems, explore elegant solutions, and compete nationally building confidence, rigour and a love of logical reasoning that underpins every STEM discipline – it has a key role in the development of science, is fundamental to the study of engineering, underpins many social sciences and economic principles and is increasingly used in medicine.
