Our Junior School was delighted to be visited by Stephanie Tress, a professional musician and teacher at the Royal College of Music. Stephanie began her musical career here at LEH Junior School.
We were lucky enough to hear her perform in our Assembly after which she spoke about her time at school and her career as a cellist, performing in concerts both here in the UK and abroad. She has performed on various film soundtracks, recorded with such stars as Charlie XCX and has released two albums with her own string quartet the SOLEM QUARTET.
She then took a ‘cello masterclass with all of our ‘cellists and gave them invaluable advice about how to improve their playing technique. Stephanie then ran a rehearsal with our String Ensemble and the Symphony Orchestra.
At the end of the day Stephanie remarked how impressed she was with the standard of musicianship at LEH.
