Bringing Ancient Egypt to Life in our Junior School

Our Form 1 (Year 3) pupils were transported back in time during an afternoon workshop exploring Ancient Egypt. Our young historians were encouraged to dress in Egyptian-style and throughout the day delved into the fascinating process of mummification, stepped into the shoes of everyday Egyptians, and applied their maths skills to construct impressive pyramid models.

Creativity flowed as they designed and crafted their own amulets, which will be completed with artistic flair in this week’s art lessons. It was a hands-on, cross-curricular adventure that brought history to life, sparked imagination and ignited a love of ancient history.
