Deborah worked for Marks & Spencer for 38 years and specialised in HR as the executive responsible for Reward, Executive Remuneration, Employment Policy and Performance Management. She was a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development. Deborah was appointed by the judiciary as a lay member of the Central London Employment Tribunals sitting on complex employment cases. She was appointed to the Board of Bournemouth University in August 2022 where she is Vice Chair of the Remuneration Committee and sits on the Finance & Resources Committee and the Honorary Awards Committee. Deborah lives locally to the school, and her sons both attended Hampton School.
