Shaping bold futures

At LEH, we strive to build the best possible future for every student – empowering them with the courage to pursue their dreams. From the very start of Senior School, our girls are encouraged to think ambitiously about life beyond LEH. With expert guidance from our dedicated Futures & Careers Department and a dynamic calendar of events and initiatives, each pupil is supported to explore their passions, discover new possibilities, and take confident steps towards a future filled with opportunity.

Supporting every pupil’s career journey

Careers & Futures Evening

One of the highlights of the LEH calendar, our Careers Evening welcomes more than 60 delegates including LEH alumnae and current parents, who share invaluable insights and expertise from across a wide range of professions. Girls can engage with scientists, engineers, clinicians, architects, barristers, civil servants, and more. Global brands such as the NHS, Penguin Random House, Metropolitan Police, Apple, Reiss, the London Stock Exchange Group, PwC and Microsoft provide first-hand perspectives on their industries.

Higher Education Fair

Each year, the top 30 UK universities visit LEH to talk with students about higher education. From subject selection to crafting compelling university applications, students gain vital knowledge and inspiration as they consider the next stage of their academic journey.

Specialist Talks and Workshops

Our Careers & Futures Department hosts a wide range of talks throughout the year, covering topics from Women in Engineering and Applying to Medical School, to Sponsored Degree Programmes and an Introduction to Investment Banking. These sessions, often led by industry professionals, give students a realistic and inspiring picture of potential career paths.

Applying to American Universities

We offer tailored support for students interested in studying in the US, including advice on the application process, financial aid, and sports or academic scholarships. We regularly invite LEH alumnae who have studied in America to share their experiences, and we partner with Hampton School to offer preparation courses for the ACT admissions test.

Sixth Form

Our tailored Sixth Form Futures Programme equips students with the skills, knowledge and confidence to navigate university applications and beyond. From personal statement support and interview preparation to networking opportunities with professionals, LEH students are well prepared for life after school. Parents and alumnae continue to play an important role by sharing their career insights at talks and events throughout the year.

Future Destinations

LEH students go on to study at some of the most prestigious universities in the UK and around the world. The range of universities and course choices is a testament to the ambition and success of our students.
