Best of Both Worlds

At LEH, we know that girls thrive in an environment designed just for them. Research consistently shows that single-sex education helps girls unlock their full potential – giving them the confidence, freedom, and support to explore, experiment, and excel.

We recognise however, that there are many benefits of co-educational interaction and collaboration outside of academics, which is why we foster strong partnerships with our neighbours, Hampton School. From Year 7 our pupils benefit from shared facilities, joint activities, and sessions delivered by peer mentors from both schools. This balance ensures our students gain the best of both worlds – confidence to focus in a girls-only space, alongside meaningful co-curricular experiences.

With practical arrangements like a shared coach network, starting from our Junior School, we make it easy for families to enjoy the advantages of this unique educational partnership.

Life Advice

Teenagers of both sexes face many of the same challenges on their journey to adulthood. It’s everyone’s mission to equip them with the knowledge and confidence to thrive throughout their childhood. We provide Life Advice talks for LEH and Hampton parents on issues including digital awareness, personal safety, drugs awareness, stress, screen time and study skills. We also provide access to parents of both schools to The Wellbeing Hub an online resource of over 2000 expert-led, evidence-based resource for meeting the social, emotional, and educational needs of children and young people.

Alumni

The LEH and Hampton School Alumni and Development Offices work together with our alumni networks, growing a thriving community of mentors who can offer work experience, internships, networking events and job opportunities for pupils from both schools.

Be Bold! Lectures and Talk! Events

Our visiting speaker programmes provide a wonderful opportunity for both school communities to hear from distinguished, high profile speakers from all walks of life.

Community Matters

The Hampton ISSP (Independent State Secondary Partnership) gives pupils and teachers from both schools the opportunity to work with five local state maintained Secondary Schools. Together, we collaborate on supporting those schools with:

  • GCSE revision
  • Science and music days
  • Public speaking
  • Dance training
  • Model United Nations Conferences
  • Subject specific workshops

We have a busy calendar of community and fundraising activities, for example, our Christmas Party for local elders, trips to Legoland with students from the Marjory Kinnon School, a Lower School Quiz and charity Sixth Form Netball and Lacrosse matches.

“Almost feels co-ed without the distraction of having boys in the actual classroom. What could be better!”
