At LEH, we are committed to helping every pupil achieve her full potential. We work closely with families to identify and support any special educational needs as early as possible in a student’s journey with us.
Special Education Needs and Disability (SEND)
Early Identification
and Support
All new pupils take part in a screening programme to help us understand their individual learning profiles. Where needed, we offer follow-up assessments and tailored learning support through our experienced Learning Support Consultant Teachers and Assessor.
Most of the support we provide relates to mild dyslexia, ADHD and autism, but we take care to ensure that every pupil receives the guidance and resources she needs to thrive – both in and beyond the classroom.
English as an Additional Language (EAL)
We welcome students for whom English is not the first language. Where helpful, we offer support in school or may recommend external tuition to boost language confidence and fluency.
Working in Partnership
Parents are encouraged to contact the SEND Co-ordinator (Junior School) or Head of Learning Support (Senior School) with any concerns. We believe that open communication is key to ensuring each pupil is fully supported in all aspects of school life.
Inclusive Admissions
If a prospective pupil has a formal statement or EHCP, we will assess her needs carefully and positively. LEH is committed to making all reasonable adjustments to ensure a smooth and inclusive transition into school life.
