Pupils have opportunities to present ideas to broader audiences, such as when some pupils represented a mental health group at Parliament. These experiences help pupils understand how engagement with political issues can create positive change.

Welcome from the Head
Bold Futures Start Here
Welcome to what is certain to be the most exciting stage of your education so far. Sixth Form at LEH is more than a timetable of subjects or a stepping stone to what comes next. It’s a tailored experience and a step-change in independence for every student.
These two years are the most transformative of your school journey. You’ll experience greater freedoms and agency, deeper friendships, and a richer, more dynamic relationship with your teachers. You’ll be stretched, challenged, and championed – whether through your A Level subjects, the Extended Project Qualification, the many extra-curricular activities on offer, or the many opportunities to lead, support, inspire and lift those around you.
At LEH, you won’t just be part of the Sixth Form – you’ll help shape it. Our Sixth Form students are empowered with real agency: they drive ideas, launch initiatives, and lead meaningful change throughout the school. Each year, one of my personal highlights is working alongside our Sixth Form – your voices, your energy, and your perspective help us to respond to a rapidly changing world with imagination and courage. Most importantly, we make space for fun and laughter every day. We believe happiness is essential – not just to thrive and succeed, but to live fulfilling lives at every stage.
Our dedicated teachers, experienced Futures advisors, and inspirational alumnae network will walk with you every step of the way, opening doors and helping you navigate the exciting, sometimes unexpected, turns in your journey. Whether your path is clear or, as is often the case, still taking shape, LEH is here to help you explore it and boldly grasp all the opportunities on offer.
And through our strong partnership with Hampton School, you’ll benefit from a vibrant joint Beyond the Curriculum programme and shared activities that broaden your horizons and deepen your knowledge. You’ll have all the benefits of a single sex academic experience, with plenty of extra-curricular opportunity to experience co-educational collaboration.
Your time in the Sixth Form will pass quickly, but it will leave a lasting mark. You’ll build memories that stay with you for life and develop the mindset, resilience, and curiosity that will shape your future – whatever you choose to do next. We hope LEH sounds like somewhere you can see yourself authentically thrive.

Your LEH Journey
Sixth Form at LEH is where you take greater ownership of your journey. It’s where you choose the subjects that excite and challenge you, and where your passions begin to shape your future. Your experience at LEH will be about much more than what happens in the classroom.
You’ll step into a world of opportunity – from academic exploration to real-world challenges and unforgettable adventures. Whether you’re building a business in Young Enterprise, performing on stage, representing your House, mentoring younger students, or exploring global issues through Model United Nations, you’ll develop the skills and confidence to lead, inspire, and make a difference.
These experiences are designed to stretch you – to open your eyes, raise your sights, and help you grow into someone who’s ready to thrive in the world beyond school. They’ll build resilience, empathy, and a strong sense of who you are – and they’ll stay with you for life.
LEH students leave Sixth Form as confident, curious thinkers, ready to carve out bold futures at university and beyond. They know how to aim high, challenge convention, and bring energy and purpose to everything they do.
We can’t wait to see what you’ll do next.

Welcome from the Head Girl Team
A message from the Head Girl Team
Starting secondary school can feel daunting, but at LEH, every Third is made to feel instantly at home. From the very first day, meeting our Year 10 buddies and being introduced to the legendary House system, we became part of something vibrant and welcoming. Those older students became friendly faces in corridors, offering tips (like how to survive the tuck shop queue!) and a sense of belonging that made all the difference.
Looking back, what stands out most about our early days at LEH is how quickly we settled in. Whether it was our Form Tutors patiently answering endless questions, playing inter-class netball tournaments, or taking part in House quizzes, the sense of community was immediate and strong.
We were encouraged to throw ourselves into school life, and our lunchtimes quickly filled up with clubs – Debating Club, Theatre Production, Swimming, Fencing, Chess, Quiz Club – we literally had hundreds of clubs and activities on offer – the choice felt endless. That same spirit of exploration extended to our lessons too. In subjects like product design and textiles, we learned to use new technology and tools, while in Music, we composed our own pieces – however chaotic they may have sounded at first!
Sport plays a huge part in LEH life, and the Thirds dive straight in. Many of us joined squads for lacrosse, netball, swimming or gymnastics, gaining confidence, learning discipline, and sharing unforgettable experiences with our teammates – on the pitch and off.
The Music and Drama departments foster creativity and self-expression, supporting everyone from beginners to future professionals. The Write the Girl programme, for example, encourages students to use drama as a tool to amplify the voices of young women, a cause close to our hearts.
Our journey has also been shaped by the unforgettable trips and shared experiences that bind us together: from conquering the PGL zip lines in Year 7 to rekindling that same adventurous spirit on the Sixth Form leadership retreat to Avon Tyrrell. These experiences cement friendships and build the sense of sisterhood that defines LEH.
The House system is at the heart of school life, uniting students across all year groups in healthy competition and shared celebration. Whether through Drama, Music, Sport, cooking or debate, these events bring out our collective spirit and pride.
At LEH, you’re encouraged to be curious, bold, and kind. LEH’s ethos, of supporting one another, embracing challenge, and celebrating each other’s wins, makes the seven years here truly transformative.
Maya, Ursula, Kiara and Shimmy – Head Girl Team 2025-26
Joining as the only girl from my junior school was daunting, but I never felt alone. LEH helped me find confidence in myself through drama, sport, and public speaking. I’ve grown into someone my Year 7 self would look up to.
Kiara - Head Girl Team 2025-2026
The STEM department at LEH is inspiring. Whether it’s applying science to real-world debates or racing electric cars, I’ve gained skills and belief in myself that I’ll carry far beyond school.
Maya - Head Girl Team 2025-2026
At LEH, I discovered passions I didn’t even know I had. The support from staff and friends has shaped who I am. It’s a school that helps every girl find her spark—and run with it.
Ursula - Head Girl Team 2025-2026
From oversized blazers in Year 7 to the strong friendships I have now, LEH has helped me build confidence, embrace challenge and follow every ambition I had—whether in music, sport or theatre.
We are delighted to reveal our 2025 Christmas card! It was beautifully designed by Gece B, a talented Year 11 student at Lady Eleanor Holles School.
We’re also incredibly grateful to LEH for choosing Hands as one of their fundraising charities for 2025/26. Their support will help us continue our work in Twickenham and St Margaret’s, ensuring that members of our community can maintain their independence and live fulfilling, connected lives.
We are delighted to announce the appointment of Miss Iona Carmody as the new Head of Junior School, beginning in September 2026.
Selected from an exceptional field of candidates, Miss Carmody brings extensive experience in teaching and educational leadership, including her most recent role as Head of Lower School (4–11) at The Queen’s School in Chester. She holds an MSc in Education Management and Leadership from the University of Southampton and has worked in both state and independent sectors in the UK, as well as in South Africa.
Miss Carmody impressed the panel with her compassionate leadership and her strong vision for girls’ education. Head of LEH, Rowena Cole, said that Miss Carmody brings significant experience along with energy, innovation and warmth, and that she is well placed to build on the achievements of the Junior School.
Miss Carmody will work closely with Mrs Paula Mortimer over the coming months to ensure a smooth transition after Mrs Mortimer’s ten years of inspiring leadership.
Reflecting on her appointment, Miss Carmody said she is thrilled to be joining such a happy, ambitious and thriving school, and is passionate about empowering the next generation of young women to be confident, bold and imaginative thinkers.
LEH looks forward to welcoming Miss Carmody and beginning an exciting new chapter for the Junior School. @lehschoolofficial @lehjuniors @hollesconnect #Boldbeginningsstarthere
