The Perse Coding Team Challenge (PCTC) returned this year with its signature mix of tension, teamwork and fast paced problem solving. Round 1 saw pairs of students tackle a series of programming puzzles designed to test logic, creativity and technical skills, all within a demanding 40-minute window.
Students from Year 7 to Year 11 embraced the challenge with enthusiasm, collaborating under pressure and showing impressive resilience and ingenuity.
Congratulations to Anoushka and Freya (Year 11), who topped the Pathfinder (Senior) leaderboard by a single point, closely followed by the determined pairing of Audrey and Huiwen (Year 11).
The Navigator category (Year 10 and below) was equally competitive. Gece and Anika (Year 10) shared first place with both Yuchen and Clarisse in Year 9. A standout performance came from Year 7 duo Sophie and Emily, who amazed everyone with their exceptional score, so much so that sweets have already been deployed to secure them for Round 2!
We now look ahead to Round 2 in March, where top performers will return to compete in trios. Well done to all who took part, and best of luck to those progressing.
