The Witching Hour: A Fantastical Concert Casts Its Spell

Audiences are invited to step into a world of magic, mystery and music this February as The Witching Hour – A Fantastical Concert takes to the stage on Wednesday 12th and Thursday 13th February at 7pm.

Promising an evening of awe and wonder, the concert will be a fully immersive experience, with dramatic costumes, atmospheric lighting and choreography designed to bring the spine-tingling programme to life. The Symphony Orchestra will form the heart of the performance, presenting a richly varied soundtrack that journeys from the dark menace of Maleficent and Coraline, through the icy beauty of Frozen and Edward Scissorhands, to the timeless magic of Pure Imagination from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

There will also be some unexpected highlights along the way, including a nod to Michael Jackson’s Thriller and a performance inspired by Wednesday Addams’ iconic dance – a moment sure to delight younger audiences in particular.

Thursday’s performance will be repeated on Friday evening, giving audiences flexibility to choose their preferred night – whether braving Friday the 13th or opting for a midweek outing. Each concert begins at 7pm and is expected to finish by approximately 9pm, perfectly timed as the school community heads into half term.

A wide range of ensembles will take part, showcasing the breadth of musical talent across the school. Performers include Symphony Orchestra, Senior Strings, Holles Singers, P’zzazz and the Minchkins, alongside guest appearances from Rock Band, Off the Cuff and the Junior Holles Singers from the Junior Department. The performance will also feature dancers from Lower 4 and Lower 5, adding another dynamic layer to this spellbinding evening.

The Witching Hour promises to be a magical celebration of music, movement and imagination – not to be missed!
