Our rowers braved an incredibly wet and cold day on the Thames to race in the inaugural Junior Fours Head. This is a national event with crews travelling from all over the country to race!
Despite the tough conditions, all six boats from J16 to J18 squads delivered impressive performances. Highlights included a bronze medal for our J16 4+ as well as 8th for the J18 4x-, 8th for the second J16 4+, 10th for the J18 4+, 16th for the J16 4x+, and 46th for the J18 4x-. It was a great set of results in highly competitive fields, and the resilience shown by every athlete reflected the depth of determination and hard work that had gone into our training over the last few months.
We now look forward to carrying this momentum into the upcoming weekends of racing, with Teddington Head tomorrow and Hampton Head next week. Go LEH!
