It’s been another action-packed week of sport at LEH, filled with determination, teamwork and outstanding performances across a range of disciplines.
Cross-Country
Our Junior (Thirds and Lower 4), Inter (Upper 4 and Lower 5) and Senior (Upper 5 and Sixth Form) cross-country teams travelled to Harrow for the first cross-country race of the season on Thursday. The dry conditions meant that the course was firm and fast, which resulted in an excellent afternoon of racing. Our Junior girls team demonstrated strength and depth in their race by finishing 1st overall. Huge congratulations to the pupils finishing inside the top 10, Alice who came first, Sienna sixth and Sofia tenth. The next race of the day was the Inter girls race, they overcame some tough competition and finished third overall, congratulations to Eloise who finished sixth. The final race of the day was the Senior girls race. Our team demonstrated fantastic speed and endurance to finish 1st overall. Congratulations to Isla who finished second and Holly who finished third. Well done to all the athletes who raced, demonstrating their grit, determination and endurance to ensure it was a successful afternoon of running for LEH. Well done to all three of our teams who have qualified for the English Schools Cup regional round in November.
Netball
Our U14A and U15A netball teams competed in the Middlesex Schools’ County Prelim tournament on Thursday, hosted at LEH. Both teams played against some strong competition throughout the afternoon’s matches and LEH demonstrated some excellent through court, defence and attack. We are delighted to say that both teams won all their matches convincingly in their groups and finished 1st overall in their respective age groups – an excellent achievement. This result takes them through to the County Finals in March. Well done to both teams on a fantastic result and great performances throughout the afternoon.
Lacrosse
On Saturday, our U12 Senior lacrosse teams played against Claremont Fan Court School in some competitive matches. All teams and players put in a great effort, working hard on their individual skills and team tactics. We had a mixture of results overall and well done to all our pupils who took part across the age groups and teams.
Congratulations to all our pupils for representing LEH with such grit and enthusiasm.
